One of the important concepts of differential calculus is the theory of the infinitesimals and limits. Let’s give an example.
What would you get if you divided any number by zero? Think about it; how many times will zero, nothing go into something?
Let’s limit our example to something easy at first, then expand on it. Let’s try 1/0.
Suppose, initially, I have 1/1, which is just 1. And suppose I reduce the denominator to a smaller and smaller number, until the number starts to approach zero. The fraction itself should start to approach the answer to 1/0.

Stories have been told for years as to where the tradition of the Christmas Sock came from. One belief is that the tradition began centuries ago in the orient, where the people had a habit of leaving socks lying about while they were gone from home to catch evil or demons that tried to invade the empty home.Another belief is that the tradition came from the land of Holland where children left their wooden shoes outside and in the morning there were goodies in them. But really, what do clunky wooden shoes have to do with fluffy red socks? I am here to advise you that none of these stories tell of the “accurate” legend of the Christmas sock.

FDR’s Masquerade
On December 7, 1941, America suffered a devastating surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, at the hands of the Japanese Imperial Navy.
“The Japanese strike sank or heavily damaged 18 naval vessels (including eight battleships), destroyed 188 planes and left over 2,ooo dead” (Perloff, 10).
Many believe the attack was made possible by the neglect of Admiral Husband Kimmel, and Lieutenant General Walter Short. They have carried the blame for this disaster for over 60 years.
